Finding space to breathe in the Byward Market
It's really silly that it took me so long to book some time to think and shoot in this beautiful Breather Space right in the Byward Market. Breather Spacers are tastefully decorated rooms throughout the city created for small start ups, fellow home-office workers, digital nomads, collectives - really anyone who needs a private place away from the office to brainstorm, gather, work, or just breathe (note the rolled up yoga mat that comes with the room in my mirror selfie).
Ottawa's home to three Breather Spaces around the downtown core, each ranging in size to accommodate solitary get-'er-done grinds, one-on-one meetings, and airy living room sized group gathering or work sessions. Everything about the experience from booking my two hours, checking in, and having the option to extend my stay was a breeze. After I wrapped up my photoshoot for MILK I stuck around to shoot the space just so I could give Breather my full-hearted recommendation. If you want to check out a space near you (they can also be found in Boston, New York, San Fran, and Montreal), sign up with my promo code USZ4PB and you'll be all set for one free hour of peace and quiet on demand.
