Awesome Art Hunt
Awesome Art Hunt

In May 2014 I was awarded a grant from  Awesome Ottawa  to create and hide 115 1x1' wooden panels of original art.  While I recruited a group of artists to help out, the majority of the panels were left to me.

Working through the tall stacks of panels in my livingroom studio gave me lots of opportunity to experiment.  For me the fun of the art hunt was in hiding the pieces and leaving clues on social media.  The project's value, however, was in forcing me to make art (of any kind) so that in the process I might discover my true jam. These collages make up only a small portion of the works created, but they most definitely steered me towards a means of making art that I finally recognized as my own.

The most thorough documentation of the project can be found on instagram, #awesomearthunt.
